MY JOURNEY TO MYSELF
I had it all: a well-paying, secure job in the real estate industry, a partner, a beautiful apartment, and amazing vacations. And yet I felt empty, dissatisfied, and above all, unfulfilled. I knew only one thing – my life couldn’t go on like this. But at the time, I didn’t know exactly what needed to change or how.
Time and again, my mind spoke up, loud and clear, with all its fears and worries. The fear of failure, the fear of uncertainty, the fear of making another “wrong” decision. My mind dominated. But then came the day when my heart spoke louder. The desire for a fulfilling life suddenly became stronger than all my fears combined.
At that point, I had hardly any confidence in myself. After all, my previous decisions had brought me to exactly this point. Today I know: I made those decisions without my heart. I didn’t listen to my inner self, I ignored my soul, and I wasn’t connected to myself.
I also didn’t know what I really wanted to do professionally, what brought me joy, where my strengths lay – and certainly not how I should take the next steps. But there was this one voice inside me, clear and calm: “You can, and you will.” It was my heart. After 30 years, I truly heard it for the first time – and I knew that this time, I wouldn’t let it down again.
Through coaching, I found myself again – I regained my confidence and reconnected with my needs and desires. Step by step, a clear vision of how I want to live began to take shape. And in order to make that life a reality, I was able to change myself.
I took the plunge. I broke up with my partner, moved out of our apartment—an apartment we’d moved into just eight months earlier—and traveled to New Zealand for a few weeks. I’ve never felt so free. Back in Munich, I quit my job. Reset. Fresh start.
Yoga accompanied me through the entire process. Yoga was a safe haven for me and provided stability, protection, and strength.
The space on my mat became a sacred space for me, where I could meet myself. There I found stability and a connection to myself.
A magical time of self-discovery began—with many highs and many lows, with much lightness, many tears, and much despair. I had opened the door, the door to my soul.
I had created space to listen to my soul and my heart—there was a lot to catch up on.
Coaching means meeting yourself with empathy and unflinching honesty. It means recognizing how you have lived, felt, and acted up until now. It means observing, questioning, and reflecting on yourself. And then: realigning yourself—for the life you truly want to live.
I’m not promising you a fairy-tale world. It’s a journey of intense inner work, with its ups and downs. And then the day will come when you look back on your journey and thank yourself for having the courage to set out on it, for your transformation, for your life. Because you are so very much worth it.
And I promise you: When you change, your environment and your life will change too. It all starts with your commitment to yourself.
Are you ready to walk this path? Are you worth it to yourself to create the life you want to live?
What would happen if you let go of control and surrendered to the flow of life with trust?
